Dear CW Families:

Today marks our annual tradition of anxiously refreshing the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards website, as we eagerly await the regional results!  If you are new to our program or if you want a refresher, please see the information below to find your child’s results.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is our country’s oldest and most prestigious art and writing competition.  This is an incredible opportunity for our young authors to see how their literature stacks up to the hundreds of thousands of other writing students across the region and across the country, and the day the results are announced being an array of emotions.

It’s important to celebrate any recognition, as our regional competition draws applicants from the entire Southeast.  It’s also important to remember that results might bring about feelings of disappointment or frustration.  We always remind our students that Scholastic is very competitive, but also that it’s entirely subjective.  It’s fantastic to be recognized for the hours of work we put into our craft, but this time of year is also a chance to celebrate the work of the program as a whole and to get inspired to write even more work in the future.

We look forward to celebrating with these fine, accomplished writers soon, and hope you’ll join us in wishing them good luck!

A complete list of Region-at-Large award recipients will be posted online on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 by 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. On January 30, visit your regional website and click the link in the Notification section to view a complete list of award recipients in your region.
